Lebanon
Lebanon is an important destination due to its diverse atmosphere and ancient history. The old cities of Lebanon offer a lot, from ancient Roman ruins to well-preserved castles, limestone caves, historic Churches and mosques, beautiful beaches along the Mediterranean Sea, world-renowned Lebanese cuisine, nonstop nightlife and discothèques, to mountainous ski resorts.
The history of cultural tourism in Lebanon is ancient, and it has attracted many Orientalists, scholars and poets from European countries interested in Lebanese culture and customs.
Beirut: (The Paris of the Middle East)
Lebanon has 8000 cities and towns among which Beirut is the largest and capital. It is a great attraction in the world for tourism and business purposes. The reason for that is its vibrant history and rich culture. Some worth visiting sites include Jeita Grotto, the temple of Baalbek, Bkassine and Hamra Street. Hamra Street is famous for its restaurants, hotels, bars and shops.
Tripoli
Tripoli is a port city located in the northern part of Lebanon, along the Mediterranean coast. The rich history of Tripoli spans through the Phoenician, Roman, and Ottoman periods and is beautifully represented by fortresses and historic buildings in such a perfect way that it continues to capture visitors today. Notable sites include the Citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles, the Great Mosque of Tripoli, and some traditional markets.
Sidon and Tyre: (Phoenician city)
The history of Sidon and Tyres dates back to the Phoenician era. The name “Sidon” comes from the Phoenician word that means “fishery” or “fishing,” whereas Tire is known for its maritime trade and famous for its purple dye industry. Both are situated on the southern coast of Lebanon by the Mediterranean Sea. Both Sidon and Tyre are ancient Phoenician cities mentioned in the Bible.

They were major centres of trade and culture in the ancient Mediterranean world. Interestingly, Sidon was not part of ancient Israel and was a significant city of Phoenicians. Moreover, the modern tyre is a blend of historical ruins and archaeological sites, including the Roman Hippodrome, the Crusader Castle, and Roman Baths, which attracts tourism and research.
Zahle: (Bride of the Beqaa)
Zahle’s “The City of Wines and Poetry” is situated in the central part of Lebanon in Beqaa Valley. Zahle Is renowned for its wine and arak production. Arak is a traditional Lebanese alcoholic beverage made from aniseeds.
Notable sites are Bardwani River perfect place for outdoor dining in summer, Our Lady of Zahle and the Beqaa large statue of Mary offers a stunning panoramic view of Zahle and the surrounding valley. Modern Zahle has retained the same beauty and also improved tourist facilities of hotels, restaurants and traditional souks
Kobayat
Kobayat is a breathtaking town in northern Lebanon which is 1640 feet above sea level, contributing to its cooler temperature compared to other sea-level regions of Lebanon. Kobayat is surrounded by green hills, which are a part of its beauty. The area is great for hiking, nature walks, and exploration. Some nature-closed hotels are Kobayat Oaks and bungalows which are nestled in nature’s surroundings.

Laqlouq is at 5741 feet of altitude and is well known for its ski resort, cool weather and outdoor activity. If you are not interested, in skiing yet there’s a lot to do like ATV rides, or relaxing by Piscataquis lakes.
Laqlouq offers a range of activities all across the year.

Harissa is a prominent religious and tourist place in Lebanon, located in the Mount Lebanon range, it is particularly a major pilgrimage site for Lebanese Christians. Mount Harissa is the home to Our Lady of Lebanon shrine.
